LC Rocks in Indie Film

Lizard Chips' music, gets major exposure on the full-length digital movie Thank You Girls, being made part of the movie's soundtrack.

Among their songs included Karma from the latest album 20-minute insomnia, Karma gets to become the movie's opening track. as other songs like Paalam and Rubber band also figure prominently in the movie's music which also included other works from different Mindanao rock bands.

Charliebebs Gohetia, the film director chose the songs as it reflect the film's gay happy vibe. getting preference were upbeat rock songs which are originally made by Mindanao rock musicians themselves. as he said that his goal is to give these indie bands much deserved exposure through the film.

The film is about six dysfunctional gay beaty pageant veterans from Davao who travel north to Cagayan de Oro with a single mission, that is to conquer the grandest competition of beauty and brains in the whole province.

Partly inspired by Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the movie shot in the stunning backdrop of Davao and Bukidnon countryside taking a once-in-a-lifetime peek at the unique Mindanao gay culture in particular utilizing Visayan gay lingo and having major cast players portrayed by Dabawenyos Except for Gie Salonga (Lea Salonga's half-brother) almost all of the cast are first-time local actors (Pidot Villocino, EJ Pantujan, Kit Poliquit, Kim Vergara July Jimenez).

The film is set to have its Davao screening this Sept 10-16 at Gaisano Mall of Davao, Afterwards it will compete in this year's Vancouver International Film Festival, Dragons and Tigers Competition for Young Filmmakers being the Philippines' lone competing entry.
